Do you take taxes out or am I responsible for this?
You submit a bill for your services. As an independent contractor (1099) you are responsible for reporting your earned income. If you are paid $600 or more in a given year, we will send a 1099 form the following year by January 31st at the latest.
I saw your ad and I am interested in applying.
Great! Prior to contracting for your services, we do need you to complete a test transcription file. This file is about 10 minutes long and you will not be compensated for this test file. How do you pay your transcribers?
Independent contracts receive payment bi-monthly in the middle and end of each month. You will receive payment by PayPal. An active PayPal account is required.
What is the average workload?
As an independent transcriber, you decide how much work you want to take. We have a virtually unlimited supply of projects!

Where can I submit my resume?

What type of transcription does your firm handle?
We handle all types of transcription! This including focus groups, meetings, TV logging and anything voice to text.
Can I be a transcriber and live outside the US?
Yes! As long as you have an active PayPal account to receive payment for your work.
How long is each assignment?
Our assignments vary. We offer very short files up to around 2 hours of sound in one assignment.
I submitted my test, when will I received a response?

If my test is successful, what happens next?
First, we congratulate you! Welcome and we are excited to use your services as an independent transcriber. A welcome packet will be emailed to you which will contain all the next steps.
